In Mountain View, landscape supply yards usually price bulk material by the cubic yard and charge a delivery fee by distance, so measure the area first: one cubic yard of mulch covers about 100 square feet at three inches deep. Across California, small-engine repair shops get backed up in early spring, so service mowers over the winter. Many yards and feed stores close earlier on weekends. Mountain View Garden Center has a lot of different hardscape material. If you pay cash, you can get a discount as you donβt have to pay the extra credit charge/fees. You can purchase large cubic yards of mulch and have it delivered for an extra fee - which is worth it as they load and unload material and have their own trucks. We purchased playground grade mulch fill which is very soft and βsplinter free.β The kids really love it and it is so fine it reminds me of hamster bedding. Another plus is the cedar mulch they have which repels insects and fleas due to the fresh cedar smell. You can also get dyed and non-dyed mulches and small rocks and other hardscaping material. There are large blocks of granite and pavers. These are generally at a large scale and you would need to work with a professional hardscaper.

These folks have always been kind to me. In fact my gardener and I were questioning whether I got 25 cubic yards. Well, I took a photo and ran it thru Gemini. They were right on! ( I had already put some out that day) Thank you Edgar!

This is a great place with a great location. Staff is very nice and friendly. The old man who mixes the concrete is amazing. Also has quality materials. Can't get much better.

Needed 5 ton of river rock and 2 ton class 2 base for an artificial lawn. I called around and Mountain View Garden Center had the best prices . Delivery was cheap as well. If you want a ' landscape showroom'...there are plenty of places that will provide that experience at 25 - 50%.higher product costs. If you are just looking for rock, mulch, and bark at a fair price...look no further. Despite some negative reviews...everyone at MVGC were friendly and got my material delivered when they said at the price I was quoted. I will surely use them again and recommend them...just know what you want / need beforehand. 5 stars!
